Weight in bicycles and bicycle components is an important metric, in part because it is simple to measure and compare, and anyone who rides uphill will testify that weight makes a difference. The CL1, our workhorse model, has a frame weight of 1050g's. Our M1 model reduces this weight by utilizing monocoque construction techniques. The M1 starts at 970g's. Finally, the M1SL further refines the monocoque construction techniques by utilizing T800 carbon fiber and carbon fiber dropouts. The M1SL starts at 900g's.
But, frame weight is not the only measure to consider. Components choices matter as well in arriving at the total weight of a bicycle. We offer components from the three major manufacturers (Campagnolo, Shimano and SRAM), but carefully match these with lightweight handlebars, stems, saddles, and wheels. By doing so, we can achieve complete bikes with a weight of less than 16lbs while still offering unparalleled strength, stiffness, and excellent ride characteristics.
